There are many differing styles of modern ski tailored to more accurately meet the demands of each and every skier. Below is a brief explanation of each type and information as to whom these will most suit.  Following this is a description of our rental categories, who they are suited to and which ski types each cat. contains.

EASY CARVE
Beginner and intermediate piste skis for those wishing to develop their turns. These offer ease of turn and grip at slow and moderate speeds.

PISTE PERFORMANCE
For skiers who demand more from their skis, skiing faster and with more aggression. Highest performance on harder surfaces, offering ultimate edge grip and stability.

RACE
For skiers who ski hard and fast with complete confidence and control. For the experts and racers ultimate edge grip and stability.

ALL MOUNTAIN
All terrain skis are perfect for people who want to go any where on the mountain. Largely designed for spending an equal amount of time on and off the piste. Their large surface area gives lots of flotation while it remains thin enough under foot with plenty side cut, to still allow performance on groomed surfaces.

BACKCOUNTRY
For skiers wishing to spend most of their time off-piste.
These have an extra large base surface area to maintain height in the snow pack, which allows ease of turn and stability at higher speeds. Backcountry skiers tend to be more advanced in terms of ability so these skis offer a high level of performance.

FREESTYLE
These are all twin tips, designed for easy turning and spinning, landing jumps, and riding fakie (backwards).
These also have enough base volume so can be an effective tool off-piste too.

FEMALE SPECIFIC
We stock female specific versions for all the above ski types. The female specific versions are generally designed for lighter skiers in any given length with more feminine graphics.
